When I first met Becky and Josh to talk about their wedding I knew we would have a wonderful time together. It all started off with an incredibly fun engagement photo shoot at the Bluffs earlier this summer, which got me even more excited about their big day. We have had many laughs together throughout, their energies combined are infectious and one signs up for a great time in their company.
It was also so beautiful to see two different cultures coming together in great joy and love.
Becky and Josh chose to have a tent wedding ceremony and reception at the Mandarin Golf and Country Club. But before getting there, Josh had to overcome a few challenges leading to his beautiful Chinese bride.
Happily reunited, the couple welcomed their families with a beautiful tea ceremony during which they were blessed with lovely gifts and profound advise for their married life.
Becky and Josh did not seem to mind the rain (which eventually subsided later that evening) and had a lovely first look, umbrellas in hand (I always love this look, it makes for unique imagery).
I also loved capturing the bride with her lovely 16 yrs old American Eskimo dog, Sharon. It is always touching to see pets included in wedding celebrations.
“Sharon has been through it all with me since elementary school, high school, university, meeting Josh, full time job, all the way to the wedding 🙂 She is quite a character… loves to eat and really will do anything for food… She loves Josh and certainly shows it by having eaten the leather shoe laces on his shoes three times recently… haha!”, said Becky lovingly.
