Officially known as ‘engagement photography sessions’, pre wedding shoots are wonderful occasions for my clients and I to get together and deepen our initial connection. We learn more about each other and I get to experience their energy as a couple in a new way. These sessions are a wonderful chance to know even more about who they are, what they are comfortable with, how they like to reveal themselves to my lens. Pointing a camera to anyone may sometimes be intimidating, but it all comes down to engaging the subjects in an easy flow and pay attention to the playfulness revealing itself in the most natural ways.
Penelope and Greg are lovely and ‘easy on the eye’. To be married next year, they wanted to take photos close to the water. We started in Toronto’s Music Garden, with its explosion of colours. The unusual yellow flowers perfectly matched Penelope’s lovely yellow summer dress. We continued on with our stroll and we made our way to the Harbourfront area, allowing little magical moments to make their way throw.
Enjoy this fresh collection of photos, a prelude to what I surely know will be a lovely experience together in 2017!
P+G: I look forward to seeing you again. Until then, enjoy your summer!
Sincerely yours, Manuela
